Privacy & connectivity: Drop V1 uses WebRTC DataChannels, so transferred data is encrypted in transit. The file itself is not uploaded to neeVAN. A public STUN service is used only to help browsers discover a direct route. This zero-backend V1 does not use a TURN relay, so some restrictive corporate, carrier or NAT networks may not connect. Connection codes are temporary setup information; treat them as one-time secrets and close the tab after transfer.
